Meet Candice Simmons

Founder of Blyssful Rivers LLC | Pediatric Nurse | Lactation Advocate | Mom of Four

Candice Simmons is a passionate pediatric nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and the heart behind Blyssful Rivers LLC. Her journey into nursing began at just 19, during the transformative experience of becoming a mother herself. It was the kindness and encouragement of the nurses who supported her that sparked a lifelong calling to care for others.

Candice’s dedication to lactation advocacy was born from a deeply personal moment—watching her sister struggle to find a safe and dignified place to pump, often resorting to restroom stalls. That experience ignited a mission: to ensure no birthing individual has to navigate their feeding journey without proper support.

Throughout her career, Candice has gone above and beyond to serve her community. From volunteering at WIC offices to leading community lactation support groups and conducting home visits, she has made it her purpose to uplift families, one feed at a time.

As a mother of four, Candice                              understands the real joys and real challenges that come with parenting and                                                         breastfeeding. She brings this lived experience into every consultation, group                                                   session, and conversation—ensuring each person feels seen, heard, and                                                       supported.

With Blyssful Rivers,                                                      Candice is building more than a business—she’s cultivating a                                                                  movement of compassionate, inclusive, and culturally aware                                                             lactation care. Her vision is simple but powerful: no one should                                                                    feel alone on their feeding journey.
